Investigation underway into plane crash at Ogle

Plane Crash[www.inewsguyana.com]The cause surrounding Saturday’s plane crash at the Ogle International Airport is not yet known, as the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has launched an official investigation.

The Cessna 206 aircraft, belonging to Fenix Airways Inc crashed during attempted take – off on Saturday, January 11 and left four persons injured, including a pregnant woman and the pilot, who has since been identified as Raul Seecharran.

They were all admitted at different health institutions in Georgetown. The injured woman is said to be some five months pregnant and complained of back pain. She was kept for observation, while the other passengers received minor cuts and bruises.plane crash

At the time of the accident, the aircraft was scheduled for Kata, Region 8 and information suggests that it experienced difficulty during take – off, before veering off the airstrip and crashing upside down.
