Aircraft runs off airstrip while landing at Mahdia

𝑨𝒊𝒓𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒕 𝑹𝒖𝒏𝒔 𝑶𝒇𝒇 𝑹𝒖𝒏𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒉𝒅𝒊𝒂 𝑨𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒑; 𝑵𝒐 𝑰𝒏𝒋𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝑹𝒆𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒅

Police in Regional Division #8 are investigating an aircraft incident which occurred today, Sunday September 27, 2026, at the Mahdia Airstrip, Region #8.

Preliminary enquiries revealed that the aircraft, which had five passengers and the pilot on board, had landed at the Mahdia Airstrip when it reportedly veered off the runway and came to a halt on the eastern side of the airstrip.

No injuries were reported among the pilot or passengers. No cargo was reported lost or damaged, while the aircraft reportedly sustained minor damage to its wheels.

Police ranks visited the scene and obtained statements from relevant persons.
