Forty – three – year old Keith Tuesday of Herstelling, East Bank Demerara appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman charged with possession of utensils used for smoking cocaine.
The man pleaded not guilty to the offence which read that on August 08 at Herstelling, he had one pen cover which he used to smoke the illegal substance.
Police prosecutor Vishnu Hunt objected to bail noting that the defendant was charged before for a similar offence and was placed on bail.
According to the prosecutor, the man never returned to court for trial and based on this fact, the Magistrate refused bail and the accused will make his next court appearance on September 10. [Royan Abrams]
