[www.inewsguyana.com] – Top Golfers will head into this weekend’s Medal play tournament brimming with expectation as the greens become more and more friendly.
According to reports, the greens and wind will make for a challenging day of golfing as the locals try to seek their form. This weekend’s tournament is the inaugural Hadi Worldwide Inc. and it will be in the Medal play format.
Part of the Mohammed’s group of companies, the entity indicated their pleasure in supporting local sports.
Players will be competing for first, second and third best net, as well as best gross and nearest-to-the-pin while a special prize for the best female player is also up for grabs.
Meanwhile, in last weekend’s Maurice Solomon Accounting Firm Stableford golf tournament, Brian Hackett came out on top. Hacket amassed 36 points in the 18 hole category, followed by Colin Ming and former West Indian test player Joe Solomon finishing with 35 points each, the employment of the count back system determining those positions.
David Mohamed was 4th with 33 points while Christine Sookram ran off with the best female award and Mark Lashley closest to the pin.
