Guyana’s COVID-19 cases increase to 158

Chief Medical Officer Dr Shamdeo Persaud on Thursday announced that of the 44 tests done, there have been two new cases.

The number of confirmed cases is now 158 while the COVID-19 deaths remain at 12.

To date, the total number of persons tested is 1,920 with the number of negative cases being 1762.

Currently, 92 persons have recovered, 54 active cases are in institutional isolation, one patient is in the COVID-19 ICU and 22 persons are in institutional quarantine.
