Public Service and Government Efficiency and Implementation Minister, Zulfikar Ally stated that Guyana is aggressively advancing a comprehensive digital transformation agenda that will further reshape how citizens and businesses access government services, make payments and engage with public agencies.

Speaking at the Local Content Summit 2026, Ally highlighted several key initiatives that are helping to build a more connected and efficient digital government ecosystem.

These include Citizens Connect, which allows members of the public to report issues and track responses from government agencies; the One Guyana Portal, which serves as a central gateway for accessing government information and services; and electronic identification (e-ID) cards, which will provide citizens with a secure digital identity for accessing a range of services.

The Minister also pointed to the upcoming FastPay platform, which will enable citizens and businesses to make payments for government services through a single digital payment system, reducing paperwork and simplifying transactions across agencies.

In addition, he highlighted government’s continued investment in locally developed digital solutions, noting that collaboration with Guyanese technology developers has played a key role in expanding online services and improving public sector efficiency.

According to Minister Ally, the long-term vision is to create a seamless digital experience where citizens and businesses can access services, submit applications, make payments and interact with government agencies through connected platforms that are secure, efficient and user friendly.

He said these initiatives are not only improving service delivery and transparency but are also helping to position Guyana as a regional leader in digital government innovation.
