[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 68 – year – old Berbice businessman is nursing gunshot wounds to his right knee and right hand, after armed men storm his Coverriverton house on Friday night (November 22).
According to the police, around 8:30h, Mitra Doodnauth was making checks around his premises when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
During the incident, the man was shot and the gunmen took away $6,000 and his hearing aid, after which they escaped.
The businessman was admitted to the Skeldon Hospital for medical treatment. Investigations are in progress.
