An attendant at the Georgetown Public Hospital Maternity Ward was placed on $30,000 bail and bonded to keep the peace when he appeared before Magistrate Faith Mc Gusty charged with assault and damage to property.

Forty – eight – year old Hubert Holder pleaded not guilty to both offences which he allegedly committed against his wife Veronica Holder.

The court heard that on June 30 at Sussex Street Charlestown Georgetown the man assaulted his wife and caused her actual bodily harm. Police prosecutor Collin Primus told the court that on the day of the incident the man and his wife had a misunderstanding when the man took away his wife’s phone and in the process caused damages to the phone. Hubert Holder will reappear in court on August 07. [Royan Abrams]
