Gold Miner charged, remanded for cocaine possession

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Gold Miner of Queenstown Village, Essequibo Coast was remanded to prison on Tuesday, January 28 by Magistrate Sunil Scarce, after he was charged with the possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

Forty – Two – year old Rudolph Carrington appeared at the Anna Regina Court, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge. It is alleged that on January 25, 2014 at Anna Regina, he had in his possession two grammes of cocaine. Carrington was unrepresented. He will return to Court on February 18.
