GDF, Police ranks deployed on confidence building patrols

According to a release from the GDF, these patrols are aimed at rebuilding confidence among the populace and to serve as a deterrent to any situation which has the potential to become criminal in nature.

“We assure all Guyana that the Officers and Ranks of Joint Services remain professional and committed to its constitutional obligations to assist the civil authorities in the maintenance of law and order.”

There have been several reports of disturbances across the country with the concentration being Georgetown.
