Ranks of the Police Narcotics Unit on duty at the Ogle Airport on the East Coast of Demerara this afternoon arrested a Guyanese National who was an outgoing passenger, after 17 kilograms 572 grams of cannabis sativa (marijuana) were found in his baggage.
The incident occurred around 13:50 hrs this afternoon, the Guyana Police Force reported.
He is in police custody and charges will be made shortly.
