[www.inewsguyana.com] – Four men appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry for gambling in the Georgetown Magistrates Court on Friday, October 25.
John Dundas of 144 Plantation, West Coast Demerara, Delmar Peters and Ecan Vanderstoop both of Stanleytown, New Amsterdam, Berbice and Edward Smith of 105 Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara all pleaded not guilty to the charge which read that on October 24 on South Road, Georgetown the four men were gambling.
They told the court that they were not playing for money but was merely playing a game of cards.
The Chief Magistrate placed the men on $10,000 bail each. They are expected to return to court on November 05.
