Five persons are currently hospitalised at the Suddie Public Hospital, Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam) after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a trench at La Union on the Essequibo Coast.
Reports reaching INews are that three adults including the driver, and two children sustained injuries.
It is understood that the driver of the car lost control yesterday afternoon and ended up in the trench.
Public spirited persons assisted the injured persons out of the trench and rushed them to the nearby hospital. An investigation has been launched.
