[www.inewsguyana.com] – A fire of unknown origin completely destroyed a two story house this afternoon [Wednesday, August 13] at Angoys Avenue, New Amsterdam.
Neighbour, Joel Prince told iNews that he was sleeping, when he heard someone shouting; upon checking, he noticed the house was on fire. He stated that the owner of the house, Ray Khan was at home at the time and managed to escape, even though he is “sickly.”
Prince suspects that Khan’s four – year – old son might have started the fire as he was seen with a lighter minutes earlier.
Residents told iNews that the fire service never made it to the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
