A fire of unknown origin has completely destroyed a two-storey house at Coverden, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
Firefighters are currently on scene.
Reports are that a couple was involved in a heated argument when the incident occurred.
At least nine persons are said to be homeless.
There are no reports of injuries.
