Fire destroys Robb Street boutique

The Guyana Fire Service responded to a fire at Update Trendz Setter Boutique, Lot 84 Robb Street, Georgetown.

Water Tenders #130 and #131, Water Carriers #20, #26 and #30, Ambulance #25, and their respective crews from Headquarters, Campbellville and Eccles Fire Stations were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered the building fully engulfed in flames. Through swift and coordinated firefighting efforts, the blaze was brought under control and extinguished.

Minister of Home Affairs, Hon. Oneidge Walrond, M.P., was at the scene during the firefighting operations.

Firefighters are currently conducting mop-up operations to extinguish any remaining hotspots and prevent possible rekindling.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
