Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Susan Rodrigues, on Thursday evening officially launched GuyExpo 2026 at the National Exhibition Centre, marking the start of preparations for the highly anticipated four-day business and trade exhibition.
This year’s theme is “Creating Tomorrow’s Opportunities Through Today’s Investments.”
During her remarks, Minister Rodrigues described GuyExpo as an important fixture on Guyana’s business calendar and a platform that celebrates the creativity, innovation and enterprise of Guyanese businesses.
“GuyExpo is a celebration of Guyanese ingenuity. It is a celebration of everything that is great and good and special about Guyanese, our culture, our innovation, and the pride that we have in what is our own,” the Minister said.
She noted that the theme speaks to the importance of making investments today that will create opportunities for businesses and people in the future. This includes investments in businesses, people, skills, technology, infrastructure and ideas.
Minister Rodrigues encouraged exhibitors to use GuyExpo 2026 not only to showcase their products and services, but also to build relationships with potential customers, partners, investors and suppliers, and to explore opportunities for growth and expansion.
The Minister also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and creating an environment in which Guyanese businesses can grow, employ more people, produce more locally and become competitive in regional and international markets.
Also speaking at the launch were representatives of several of GuyExpo 2026’s corporate sponsors, including KSM Investments, the Guyana Manufacturers and Services Association (GMSA), Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) and Ansa McAl. Their participation reflects the continued support of the private sector for GuyExpo and its role in creating opportunities for businesses to connect, promote their products and services and explore new markets.
A key feature of the launch was the unveiling of the official GuyExpo 2026 website, providing businesses, exhibitors, sponsors and the public with a central platform for information about the Expo.
Immediately following the official launch, registration officially opened for both exhibitors and sponsors, signalling the start of preparations for the November event.
Minister Rodrigues noted GuyExpo has an important role to play in bringing businesses and consumers together while creating opportunities for partnerships, innovation and growth.
GuyExpo 2026 will take place at the National Exhibition Centre from November 12–15, 2026.
