Emergency works begin after breach at Little Diamond koker

Emergency works have commenced following a breach yesterday at the koker at Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara.

Minister of Public Works Juan Edghill was on site today to make an assessment.

The Minister said the contractor has to be held responsible.

Several villagers were said to be affected by flooding following the breach at the koker, which reportedly occurred during high tide.
