
The Ministry of Education (MoE) says it is committed to both keeping children safe and engaged academically amid Covid-19.
Towards this end, Minister of Education Priya Manickchand this morning met with the Management Information Systems Unit (MISU) of the Ministry of Education.
According to a brief statement from the Ministry, the engagement is intended to formulate strategies for the effective and efficient delivery of education virtually against the backdrop of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The meeting was attended by the Head of MISU Mr Indar Singh, Mr Godfrey Munroe, Co-ordinator-Systems Development, the Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Ms Nicola Johnson, Assistant Chief Education Officer- Nursery Ms Samantha Williams and Director of NCERD Ms Jennifer Cumberbatch.
Last week, Minister Manickchand revealed that she was exploring the possibility of the safe reopening schools during the pandemic.
