[www.inewsguyana.com] – Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) is advising customers from Calcutta to DeHoop, East Coast Demerara as well as customers of Weldaad and Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice that all well stations serving these areas are experiencing low voltage due to generation problems affecting the Guyana Power and Light Company (GPL).
This has resulted in reduced levels of water service, the Water Company explained in a statement.
Affected communities include the entire Mahaicony/Mahaica area as well as the Mahaica Hospital. According to GWI, the company is working closely with GPL to restore normal service and regrets any inconvenience caused.
