Duo reportedly confess to murdering friend following drinking spree

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men have reportedly confessed to the murder of 36 – year – old Sheldon Rodrigues, a gold miner, who was killed on November 02, 2015.

A police report confirmed that detectives in ‘F’ Division are currently wrapping up their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Rodrigues, a male Amerindian of Ondeerneeming Village, Essequibo Coast, which occurred about 02:15 hrs at Falls Top, Arimu, Cuyuni River.

According to the police, the suspects who have since confessed to the crime are in police custody and are likely to be charged and placed before the court.

iNews was reliably informed that Rodrigues and the men were involved in a drinking spree, when an argument ensued and he was stabbed to death.
