[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 19:10 last night (Sunday July 13), on Vlissengen Road, Georgetown and which resulted in the death of a so far unidentified pedestrian.
Investigations have revealed that the pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway and was struck down by a motor car.
He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) and succumbed this morning.
The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
According to police, the victim is a destitute who is of East Indian descent, appears to be in his mid-thirties, about 5’7” in height, brown complexion and medium build.
The body is at the GPHC Mortuary.
