The man who brutally hacked his neighbour to death on Wednesday at her Belvedere, Corentyne, Berbice home has reportedly confided to detectives that he was instructed by “his master” to kill the woman.
Reports indicate that Jainarine Balgobin called “Boyo”, who seemed mentally unstable, told law enforcement officials that he collected the cutlass from the altar of a mandir in the village, went to the home of 53-year-old Bhumattie Delall and chopped her head off.
He stated that he then returned the blood stained cutlass to the mandir and went back to his house where he waited for the police to arrest him.
Balgobin is expected to be charged soon but would have to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before.
