Police are now investigating an incident which saw a cash crop farmer being shot to the right thigh during a robbery at his home at about 06:45h this morning.
The farmer who resides at Friendship on the East Bank Demerara is now hospitalised and in a stable condition following the robbery attack. One spent shell has been recovered at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Police are reporting this afternoon that their initial investigations revealed that the 65-year-old man was attacked by three armed men and was robbed of an undisclosed sum of cash.
