[www.inewsguyana.com] – Jhon Carpenter has been re – elected as President of the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club following their annual general meeting and congress last evening.
Carpenter, who was being challenged by Harold Hopkinson, won 67 to 6 to retain the presidency of the motor sport body locally. Meanwhile, Mahendra Bhoodo has been reelected as Vice President of the body following a close battle with Rupee Sewjattan.
Danny Persaud has been elected Club Captain and Hansraj Singh as the Treasurer. The Assistant Secretary Treasurer is Chet Singh. During the last session of voting, the GMRSC appointed as Technical Advisor Ray Rahaman.
The event took place at the GMRSC Pavilion in Thomas lands.
