– later found abandoned at back of Eccles Housing Scheme
Police are investigating the hijacking and torching of a motor car which was discovered at the back of Eccles Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, a few hours ago.
Reports indicate that at approximately 18:30hrs last evening, the owner of motor car PNN7321, Anthony Sukhdeo, had just arrived at his Republic Park, East Bank Demerara home, and was about to open the gate to drive his car in the yard, when three men pounced on him. Sukdeo managed to run into his yard and lock himself inside, and the three men drove off in his motor vehicle.The Police were informed and the vehicle was subsequently found stripped and burnt.
