British Coach lends support to local Riflemen

[www.inewsguyana.com]The top seeds in the rifle division of the Guyana National Rifle Association are the target of a two week training session facilitated by British Coach, Ian Shaw.

Shaw, who was the captain of a British team that toured Guyana recently, has decided to return to nurture what he deems talent

The event is a joint effort of the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) and the Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA).

Competing as a team as well as individual competitions are the areas of focus of the two week camp which features some of the top local marksmen.

President of the GOA, Juman Yassin expressed gratitude for the aid received and encouraged stronger ties.

He went on to say that they are looking to have as much development as possible in the sport as it is an important unit at the commonwealth games.
