[www.inewsguyana.com]Brigadier Mark Phillips is the new President of the Guyana National Rifle Association (GNRA) following their Annual General Meeting and election of Office Bearers on Monday, January 27.

The Army man will be joined by retained Vice Presidents Paul Slowe and Richard Fields as well as ex officios (members without the right to vote) Lt. Col Wilbert Lee and ACP George Vyphuis.

Ryan Sampson was retained as Honorary Secretary while Ray Beharry was selected as treasurer and Hemant Narine as Assistant Secretary Treasurer.

Mahendra Persaud has been retained as Full Bore Captain while Dale Hing has been retained as Small Bore Captain.

Other committee members include Lennox Braithwaite, Vidushi Persaud, and Johan Dasilva, while Terrence Stuart and Leo Ramalho have been named as auditors.
