BREAKING: Fire erupts at Noble House Seafoods, fuel tanks destroyed

0

Fire fighters are vigorously working to contain a disastrous fire in the compound of Noble House Seafoods at Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara.

Inews understands that sometime after lunch, workers were re-fueling a boat on the wharf when an object “pitched out” of the pump and sparked. The spark reportedly made contact with the fuel which led to an immediate eruption of fire.
The employees nearby quickly raised an alarm as the fire began to spread rapidly.
This online publication was told that even though fire fighters responded promptly, four of the six fuel tanks were already destroyed by the time they arrived.
No one was reportedly injured up to the time of this publication.
Investigations are ongoing. (Ramona Luthi)
