0

The Post Mortem Examination (PME) conducted on the man, whose lifeless body was found on the Murudi Public Road on Monday morning, revealed that he died as a result of injuries consistent with that received from being hit by a vehicle.

This is according to Superintendent, Boodnarine Persaud, on Thursday morning.

“He received injuries to his pelvis, kidney and other parts. He got hit hard from behind,” Persaud said.

Inews had previously reported that the body of 27-year-old Tobin, a labourer, of Waikabra, Soedyke/Linden Highway was found lying in the middle of the Murudi Public road at around 07:15hrs on Monday last.

The labourer’s body was reportedly stiff when police found him, suggesting that he had been lying at the scene for some time.

Presently, no one is in custody but police are treating the matter as a hit and run incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
