Berbice resident charged with dangerous driving, license suspended

Edson InnisThe driver’s license of Edson Innis has been suspended, pending the outcome of a court matter.

According to Police, Innis of Lot 88 Amsville Housing Scheme, New Amsterdam, Berbice, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following investigations into an accident that occurred on November 24, 2012 at Main Road, New Amsterdam, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Sastia Natasha Phillips of Lot 5 Fifth Street, Islington, West Bank Berbice.

As a consequence, his driver’s licence has been suspended pending the outcome of the matter.
