Bandit shot in face – after licensed firearm holder caught him in store

About 03:30hrs this morning, the owner of  ‘A and N Electronic Store’ on Croal Street, Georgetown, responded to his security alarm system and encountered a man who had broken and entered the building.
 
Police in a report on the incident said the  burglar attacked the businessman, who is a licensed firearm holder, and a confrontation ensued during which the burglar was shot to his face.
 
The bandit has been identified as Leon Overmuller, 45 years, of Alexander Street, Georgetown, and is under police guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
 
Investigations are in progress.
