[www.inewsguyana.com] – Second in command of the Guyana Police Force and Assistant Commissioner of Police Administration Balram Persaud is hospitalised. Persaud is presently a patient of the Intensive Care Unit at a City Hospital but is not in a critical condition.
Sources close to the senior police rank have confirmed that Persaud is alert and responding to relatives and friends.
iNews was informed that the senior police officer was rushed to the hospital on Saturday but was treated and sent away but had to be rushed again to the health facility on Sunday morning after he complained of feeling unwell.
He once served as the Commander of the Police C and D Divisions. He had a heart surgery several years ago while serving as the C Division Commander.
