Armed bandits on Tuesday night invaded the Hong Yuang supermarket located at Lusignan, East Coast Demerara (ECD) where they held two cashiers at gunpoint.
Police said at around 19:34hrs, four suspects arrived on motorcycles. Two of them disembarked and entered the supermarket where they immediately pointed guns at the two cashiers.
The bandits then retrieved a quantity of phone cards and an undisclosed amount of cash after which, they returned to their motorcycles where they made good their escape.
