A fire suspected to be of electrical origin erupted today in the ANSA McAL bond located in the same compound as the company’s head office in Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara.
Based on information gathered from Fire Chief, Marlon Gentle moments ago, the MMC Security Service notified the Guyana Fire Service of the incident at around 06:40hrs.
Gentle said that quick response from the Fire Service resulted in only partial damage to the bond, and it was evident that some supplies were damaged.
An investigation has been launched.
