[www.inewsguyana.com] – A taxi driver of Friendship, East Coast Demerara was remanded to prison on three counts of false pretense charges.

Omali Kendall denied all three charges when it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry. He will return to Court on July 30 for report.

Details of the first allegation stated that on November 11, 2013 in Georgetown, with intent to defraud he obtained the sum of $220,000 from Andrew McPherson, by pretending to be in a position to acquire a visa and medical certificate to work on a cruise ship, knowing same to be false.

The other charge also stated on the same day at Georgetown, with intent to defraud he obtained the sum of $150,000 from Trevor Dazzle, by pretending to be in position to acquire a visa and medical certificate to work on a cruise ship, knowing same to be false.

It is also alleged that with intent to defraud, he obtained the sum of $140,000 from Chad Paul, by pretending to be in a position to acquire a visa and medical certificate to work on a cruise ship, knowing same to be false.

The Court heard that Kendall has similar pending matters at Cove and John Court while ranks at Brickdam Police Station are presently investigating another case of similar nature.

    those who pay him should be arrested charged and be found guilty of being stupid and jailed for being stupid..
