[www.inewsguyana.com]A 20-year-old customer service representative of AINLIM was placed on $40,000 bail by Magistrate Judy Latchman after he pleaded not guilty to the charge of common assault.

Allan Andrew of Station Street, Kitty Georgetown, denied the allegation which noted that on Saturday, November 30 at Station Street, Kitty he unlawfully assaulted Garry Medra.

Police Prosecutor Renetta Bentham told the court that on the day in question there was a misunderstanding between the two when the defendant dealt the virtual complainant (VC) several slaps about his body.

However, Bentham did not object to bail and matter stands adjourned until December 10.
