Finance Minister Winston Jordan has announced $70,000 as the new public sector minimum wage.
He also announced that the retroactive salary increase from January this year will be tax-free.
Jordan made the announcement during an interview on the National Communications Network’s (NCN) radio programme ‘Insight’.
Director General of the Ministry of the Presidency, Joseph Harmon is expected to provide more details tomorrow during a post-cabinet press briefing, Jordan said.
