Seven juveniles this morning escaped from the Sophia Holding Centre between 02:30hrs and 02:40hrs, according to the police.
A statement explained that an alarm was raised and quick response by police led to the recapturing of three of the escapees.
Further, shortly after 07:00hrs, a fourth juvenile was taken back to the facility in the company of his mother.
Three remain at large.
