[www.inewsguyana.com] – Sixty – four – year old Sydney Higgins of South Amelia’s Ward, Linden was pronounced dead on arrival at the Linden Hospital Complex after the truck he was in toppled down a hill.
According to a police report, at about 18:15 hrs on Friday, August 07, a motor lorry with a load of lumber and four persons seated on top of the lumber toppled while descending a hill along the Upper Demerara trail.
Higgins, who was one of the four persons, was pinned under the lumber. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police investigations are in progress.
