Diligent police operations in Berbice have led to the arrest of five males inclusive of two school dropouts, in connection with the robbery of a pump attendant on August 19 last at a New Amsterdam Gas Station, during which three masked men,one allegedly armed with a handgun relieved the victim of a sum of money.
According to the Police, a toy gun, a cutlass, and a hooded jersey were among items found in possession of some of the suspects, two of whom reportedly hatched the robbery and received part of the the stolen cash.
The suspects who are all from New Amsterdam, Berbice will be charged and arraigned before a Magistrate soonest.
