The government has allocated some $5.8 billion in Budget 2026 to provide more scholarships under the Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL).

This is according to Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh who said that last year, over 10,800 persons were awarded with scholarships under GOAL.

Since its inception in 2021, GOAL has awarded over 39,000 scholarships to citizens across the country in certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s, Postgraduate, Master’s, and PhD programmes.
