3-y-o stabbed to death, allegedly by mother

A mother of two children is now in police custody after she allegedly committed the heinous act of fatally stabbing her 3-year-old son.

While information at this juncture is a bit sketchy, INews understands that the stabbing occurred around 12:00h on Saturday at the Foulis, Enmore, East Coast Demerara home that the mother shared with her children.

This publication also understands that the child was stabbed twice and succumbed after receiving medical attention at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).

He was reportedly rushed their by police.

According to information received, the older brother was able to escape the incident uninjured.

Unconfirmed reports are that the mother may be suffering from a mental illness.
