Cabinet Secretary Dr Roger Luncheon has announced that the family court will headquarter the Presidential Commission of inquiry into the killing of Dr Walter Rodney.
At his post cabinet media briefing today, Dr. Luncheon stated that that funds will be appropriated to resource the commission’s operations.
These and other decisions about preparatory work were taken recently when a board member of the Walter Rodney Foundation visited Guyana.
Last June it was announced that there would be a Presidential Inquiry into the assassination of Dr Walter Rodney.
President Donald Ramotar has since asserted that this would be the most definitive of efforts to bring those guilty of this act to the knowledge of Guyanese.
