A United States Government team arrived in Guyana yesterday where officials are slated to begin preparations for Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit later this week.
They arrived on a US military passenger plane.
INews understands that the planning will entail security as well as the agenda for the top official’s two-day visit here.
Pompeo is expected to arrive in Georgetown on September 17.
It is expected that the US Secretary of State will sign a several agreements with President Irfaan Ali and engage with top Guyanese officials.
