Update: Woodlands Hospital robbed of $1.1M, taxi driver in custody

Police have revealed that the Woodlands Hospital has been robbed of $1.1M in cash.

According to the Police Public Relations Department, at around 9:00h today, Monday July 1, the Accounts Clerk attached to the Woodlands Hospital, 47 – year – old Sattie Persaud was taking a bag containing $1.1M to the Hospital’s Accounts Office when she was held up by a man armed with a firearm who took away the cash and her cell phone and escaped.

The Police stated that a taxi-driver has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
