The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Clifford Singh, 35 years, of Prince William Street, Plaisance , East Coast Demerara.
According to the Police, the man’s body was found with suspected marks of violence at about 2: 15h this morning, Wednesday August 14, 2013, on Prince William Street.
The police are awaiting the PME results. iNews was reliably informed that the man was killed by his fiance, after she allegedly suffered years of abuse.
According to information received, the duo were in a heated argument when the 22 – year – old woman picked up a piece of wood and dealt Singh several blows to the head.
The woman has since gone into hiding.
