[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police say two men have been arrested after they allegedly robbed the passengers of a route 42 Minibus.
According to a police statement at about 13:30 hrs on Monday May 25 “two men who had joined a mini-bus as passengers, one of whom was armed with a handgun, stopped the vehicle at Eccles, EBD, and held up the other occupants.”
The men took away jewellery and cash and proceeded to make their short-lived escape.
“Quick response to the report by the police led to the arrest of the two suspects in Agricola and the recovery of a gold chain that had been stolen,” the release stated.
