[www.inewsguyana.com] – Trinidad and Tobago has confirmed its team for the upcoming goodwill boxing card set for February 14-16.
The event, collaborative effort of the Guyana Boxing Association and the Guyana Olympic Association will feature teams from islands in the region.
Other countries that have already confirmed participation in the tournament are Jamaica and St Lucia.
Barbados was extended an invitation but declined on account of a clash with their domestic calendar.
The Trinidad unit will consist of Manager Cecil Forde, Coaches Reynold Cox and Floyd Trumpet and Referee/Judge Codrington Joefield.
Their fighters include the lone female boxer, Chimere Taylor (75kg), Akmal Stroude (52kg), Christian Mcdonald (56kg), Michael Alexander (60kg), Jean-Paul Cooper (64kg), Akiel Outram (69kg) and Aaron Prince (75kg).
Like the rest of teams, Trinidad will arrive on the 13th of February. Guyana will name its team next week.
