A suspected human skull was discovered on the Number One Foreshore at Albion, Corentyne, Region Six (East berbice-Corentyne), on Monday, prompting an ongoing police investigation.
The discovery was made around 11:22h by a 23-year-old employee of the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority, who was working in the area at the time. He reported that he came across what appeared to be a human skull along the foreshore and immediately contacted the Albion Police Station.
The Number One Foreshore is located on the southern side of the Number One Public Road. Ranks subsequently visited the location, where the area was pointed out and the remains were examined.
The skull was photographed and collected as part of the investigation.
The remains were transported to Ramoo Funeral Home, where it is being held pending further examination.
